This poem came out of a conversation with a friend about the bullies from school. How sometimes you just wanted to shove them and yell at them that we’re all just human!
It’s also to remind all of us that we are all just human, no matter our background, wealth, race, gender, sexual orientation etc.
I don’t really have any other explanation for it! So here is the poem. Would love to know your thoughts too.
I am But Human
I am but human.
I have ten toes,
Two feet,
And two legs.
Ten fingers,
Two hands,
And two arms.
A chest,
A back,
A stomach,
A head.
Two eyes,
Two ears,
A mouth,
And a nose.
I am but human.
I have needs,
And wants,
Desires,
And dreams.
I lust,
I sleep,
I laugh,
I cry.
I get happy,
And sad,
And angry,
And excited.
I am but human.
I have friends,
And family,
Allies,
And enemies.
I win,
I lose,
I study,
I work,
I try,
I fail,
I travel,
And walk,
And run,
And fall.
I am but human.
